Dear parents,

We know that starting college is an exciting moment for students and their families. And we also understand that your child starting college in this still-uncertain time is bound to leave you with questions and concerns over and above what normally accompany such an important transition. We want you to know that we are doing everything possible to create a safe and nurturing learning environment for our students, and that we are here to support them.

The most important thing to remember is this: librarians are friendly allies who can help reduce stress, inspire learning, and enhance education. Through Ask a Librarian we are as close as a walk-in, chat, email, or Zoom session to help students navigate our world-class digital and physical collections, consult on research questions, and help build skills. Each and every day we are here to help Cornell students thrive academically. Please encourage your student to get in touch, no matter how simple or complicated their questions may be.
